Dev

What fascinates me about Dev is how seamlessly he moved from Bengali superstardom into the Lok Sabha. Crossing from screen idol to elected politician is a leap many entertainers fumble, yet he has held Ghatal since 2014, which tells me his charisma translates into genuine trust on the ground. I find the actor-singer-producer-politician combination almost greedy in the best way, a reminder of how cinema and mass politics share the same engine: the ability to make crowds feel something. He embodies the larger-than-life energy of Indian popular culture, and I respect performers who refuse to stay in one lane.
