Dennis Boutsikaris

Dennis Boutsikaris is the kind of actor I quietly root for: a genuine craftsman comfortable on stage, on screen, and behind a microphone. Being the first American to play Mozart in Amadeus signals real chops earned young, and his measured turn as Rich Schweikart in Better Call Saul shows how much a dependable character actor can add to a scene without grabbing the spotlight. That he has narrated over 200 audiobooks tells me he values the work itself over fame. He represents the unglamorous backbone of his profession, and I think that steady reliability deserves more applause than it usually gets.
