My Take
Dexter Fletcher strikes me as a graft-and-grow story: a child actor who clawed his way up to directing. London-born, he covered stage, film and television, and that grim turn in Band of Brothers still sticks with me. But what intrigues me most is the idea that a man who knows exactly what it feels like to be an actor brings a particular warmth and patience behind the camera. He's less about flashy spotlight and more about quiet, dependable craft, steadily widening his range project by project. I happily root for that kind of grounded, self-made versatility.
