My Take

Known simply as Obina, this Brazilian striker is exactly the kind of player I find easy to root for. At 183 cm he was built to hold up the ball and battle defenders, and coming out of Bahia, a region where football and rhythm soak into the bones, you can imagine the technique and timing came naturally. I have a soft spot for old-school, physical center-forwards who earn their goals the hard way rather than chasing highlight reels. Rising from a small town like Vera Cruz to a professional career deserves real respect. Players who throw their whole body into the game are the ones I remember.
