My Take

What grabs me about Dilane Bakwa is the trajectory: a kid from Créteil in the Paris suburbs, now testing himself as a winger in the Premier League with Nottingham Forest. Born in 2002 and still only in his early twenties, he is exactly the kind of player I find most fun to watch, because the ceiling is unknown. French wingers raised on technique tend to get sharpened, not blunted, by English football's physicality. I have no idea how far he'll climb, but the willingness to leave home and prove himself abroad tells me plenty about his ambition. I'm rooting for the leap.
