My Take
Drake Younger, now Drake Wuertz, has one of the more compelling arcs in modern wrestling. He bled and brawled through the deathmatch underground at CZW and IWA Mid-South, then completely reinvented himself as a WWE referee from 2014 to 2021. I find that pivot genuinely interesting: a man who knew the chaos of the ring intimately stepping into the role of impartial arbiter. There is something to be said for an official who has actually lived the violence he polices. To me he embodies the duality of reckless youth and measured adulthood within a single career.
