Dumbfoundead

Dumbfoundead is one of those artists whose biography alone is a story: born in Buenos Aires, Korean by heritage, raised in Los Angeles. What draws me to him is how he forced open a door in a hip-hop world with few East Asian American voices, doing it with wit and a genuine social conscience rather than mere noise. You can feel the LA battle-rap crucible in his nimble, sharp wordplay. The fact that he also works as a voice actor tells me he understands his real instrument is his voice itself. I have a soft spot for border-crossers like him, and he's a compelling one.
