Ed Powers

Ed Powers, born Mark Arnold Krinsky in Brooklyn, interests me as an industry innovator rather than just a performer. He built an era around a stripped-down, amateur-feeling aesthetic instead of glossy production, then ran his own company as director and producer, a true hands-on operator. AVN Hall of Fame recognition signals a real mark left on his field. It's a line of work people seldom discuss openly, but I believe how anyone actually lived and worked deserves an honest look. So I'd rather set aside preconceptions and simply note his craft and persistence with plain respect.
