My Take
Eric André is a study in deliberate chaos. The Berklee music training is the detail that reframes everything: the man behind that gleefully unhinged talk show is a trained craftsman, and I'm convinced the mayhem is far more engineered than it looks. His humor isn't for everyone, and I respect that he never sands the edges off to be likable. What keeps me interested is the range, jumping from anarchic provocation to voicing characters in The Lion King and Sing 2. That swing between feral and gentle is the tell of a real performer. I tend to root for comedians who refuse to fit the mold, and he absolutely does.
