My Take
Ichihara narrated Manga Nippon Mukashibanashi, voicing grandfathers, children and demons alike, which on reflection is a frightening piece of craft. On screen she could take a whole room with one look through a gap in a door. More than a hundred films, plus a life in the theatre. She died in 2019; the voice still plays in my head unprompted.
