Evan Jonigkeit

Evan Jonigkeit is the kind of actor I always notice without quite knowing his name, and that is a compliment. X-Men: Days of Future Past, Bone Tomahawk, Easy, he keeps turning up in projects with real texture and never disappears into them. Coming out of Pennsylvania rather than the usual Hollywood pipeline, he reads to me as grounded, unflashy, and reliable, a character actor who strengthens whatever frame he steps into. I have a soft spot for performers who prize the work over the spotlight, and Jonigkeit strikes me as exactly that, a craftsman quietly building a career one solid role at a time.
