Fabio Biondi

To me, Fabio Biondi is one of those musicians who genuinely reshaped how we hear a whole repertoire. Born in Palermo in 1961, he built his name as a specialist in Baroque and early music, working as a violinist, conductor, and arranger. What I find compelling is that this isn't crossover novelty; it's deep, scholarly commitment to period style that still feels alive rather than museum-stiff. I'd love to see his catalog and ensemble detailed here someday, because the bare facts undersell him. If you care about how old music can sound urgent again, his name is one I'd point you toward first.
