Fathima Shetty

Krithi Shetty is, to my mind, one of the most promising young talents in South Indian cinema. Winning the Filmfare Award for Best Female Debut for Uppena straight out of the gate is no small feat, and she has since built a steady, credible career across Telugu and Tamil films, picking up a SIIMA Award along the way. Born in Mangaluru in 2003, she has time on her side and the instincts to match. I find myself quietly betting that she will become one of the defining actresses of her generation in Indian film, and I'll be watching closely.
