My Take
Frank Mir is the kind of heavyweight I find genuinely fascinating because he won with his brain as much as his body. Holding the record for the most submission victories in UFC heavyweight history says everything: in a division built on knockout power, he chose the patient art of joint locks and chokes. A former UFC champion out of Las Vegas who fought from the 2000s into 2019, he represents a craftsman's approach to a brute's sport. I have a soft spot for fighters who outthink rather than overpower, and Mir is a textbook example of technique surviving against raw strength.
