My Take

Gastón Revol intrigues me as a survivor of one of sport's most punishing formats. Born in Córdoba, Argentina in 1986, he made his name in rugby sevens with Los Pumas 7s, a discipline where speed, fitness and split-second decisions are tested across a vast pitch with nowhere to hide. To remain competitive in sevens into one's thirties is no small feat, and I read that as the mark of a genuine athlete rather than a fleeting talent.
