My Take
George Chuvalo is the kind of fighter legend is built for: across 93 professional bouts he was never knocked down — not by Muhammad Ali, not by Joe Frazier, not by George Foreman. Read that again. A five-time Canadian heavyweight champion and two-time world title challenger out of Toronto, he turned sheer durability into something close to art. The Order of Canada and Hall of Fame honors are deserved, but his real monument is that unbreakable chin. I am endlessly drawn to athletes defined less by what they won than by what they simply refused to allow, and Chuvalo refused to fall.
