Henry Golding

Henry Golding might just be one of the most effortlessly charming screen presences of the last decade, and I say that having watched him steal every scene in Crazy Rich Asians on what was essentially his feature film debut — the guy had never done a major movie before and he walked in looking like he'd been doing this his whole life. Born in Sarawak, raised partly in the UK, he's got this rare dual quality of warmth and cool that most actors spend years trying to fake. A Simple Favor showed he could do morally slippery without losing his magnetism, and even when Snake Eyes didn't quite land, it wasn't on him. What I find genuinely interesting is that he came up through TV presenting in Malaysia — that live, on-your-feet training probably explains why he reads so naturally on camera. Still building his Hollywood footprint, and I'm genuinely curious where he lands next.
