My Take

For me, Hudson Leick will always be Callisto, the antagonist who gave Xena: Warrior Princess much of its emotional weight. What I admire is how she made villainy feel wounded and human rather than cartoonish, which is far harder than it looks. Coming up through modeling in Cincinnati, she clearly had the screen presence, but it was her willingness to play someone unlovable that earned her a lasting place in genre fandom. She has largely stepped away from acting now, yet I think she proved a quiet truth: a great antagonist can elevate an entire show. I'd happily watch her return.
