You Yokoyama

I have a real soft spot for You Yokoyama, because he's the kind of Osaka guy who can be the loudest, most chaotic energy in the room on a variety show and then turn around and play something quietly bruised in a drama, and that whiplash gets me every time. He came up the hard way and you can feel it, that scrappy survivor's edge under all the cheerful noise, which is exactly why I end up rooting for him. I love that he never really sands off the Kansai accent or the working-class warmth, and that he's openly into rock music, leaning into what he actually likes instead of polishing himself into something safe. He wears his hometown like a badge, and honestly watching him just makes me relax. I hope he keeps aging into himself, loose and unbothered.
