Hunter Parrish

Hunter Parrish wins me over with his sheer versatility. He broke through as the eldest Botwin son, Silas, on Weeds, then proved himself on Broadway, playing Jesus in Godspell and Melchior in Spring Awakening, all while being a legitimate singer. A telegenic kid born in Richmond, Virginia, he could easily have coasted on looks, but the stage seasoning gave him real chops. What I respect is that he never settled into being a pretty face or spread himself thin into mediocrity; he committed to the craft across screen, stage, and music. That kind of disciplined range is exactly what I value in a performer.
