My Take
Irving Azoff is the kind of figure I find endlessly compelling: a power broker most fans have never seen but whose fingerprints are everywhere in modern music. From Danville, Illinois, he rose to the very top as a manager, and his 2020 Rock and Roll Hall of Fame induction is what truly impresses me. Being enshrined not for performing but for steering careers from behind the scenes speaks volumes. Half a century of deal-making and artist advocacy at Full Stop Management earns my deep respect for the unglamorous craft that holds the spotlight up.
