My Take

Jeff Jarrett is one of those guys who never quite got the universal respect he deserved during his peak, but the wrestling world eventually caught up to him. Growing up in Nashville with a wrestling promoter father, he had the business in his DNA before he ever laced up a pair of boots. His "Double J" country singer gimmick in the early WWF days got a lot of eye rolls, but he had real charisma and could go in the ring. What I think defines his legacy most is the sheer stubbornness it took to co-found TNA and keep it alive for years when every smart money bet said it would fold. Was it perfect? Absolutely not. But the guy built a legitimate alternative, and that takes a specific kind of crazy-brave. The 2018 WWE Hall of Fame induction felt like the industry finally saying, yeah, alright, you earned it.
