My Take
Trainor was the secret weapon of iCarly. Spencer Shay could have been a throwaway adult-supervision character, but Jerry turned him into the most reliably funny person on the show with his manic sculptures and total commitment to the bit. There's a generosity to his comedy; he's happy to be the goofy older brother and let the kids drive, which made his big swings land even harder. Watching him return for the revival as a more grounded but still ridiculous Spencer was genuinely warming. He has impeccable physical timing, and I think he's underrated as one of the better live-action comedic actors Nickelodeon ever had.
