Kōju Takeda

Honestly, Kōju Takeda is one of those wrestlers where even the name stops you cold — most English speakers would have no idea how to read it, and that kind of immediately-interesting weirdness is a good sign. He came out of Takizawa in Iwate, debuted in 2017, and worked mainly for DDT and Wrestling of Darkness 666 before retiring in 2026. In most fields that would feel evasive, but in pro wrestling it somehow works. The whole point of the sport is that you build an identity inside the ropes, and if Takeda is letting the in-ring work carry all the weight, I can respect that discipline. His title runs in DDT and 666 suggest the mystique was earned, and the name alone made me want to dig deeper, and that's already more than most people manage.
