Lauren Patten

Lauren Patten is the sort of multi-hyphenate talent that excites me. Originating Jo in Jagged Little Pill and winning a Tony for it is a staggering achievement, the kind of breakthrough most performers only dream of. What impresses me beyond the singing and acting is that she also writes, suggesting a complete artist rather than a single-note one. Her run as Officer Witten on Blue Bloods proves she moves easily between stage and screen. I sense a meticulous, deeply committed craftsperson behind those performances, and I'm genuinely curious to see what bold, personal project she takes on next.
