Lim Semi

Im Se-mi is one of those Korean actresses who quietly builds a body of work and then suddenly you realize she's been in everything. Born in Seoul in 1987, she studied at Dongduk Women's University and carved out a career spanning both film and television — the kind of range that demands real discipline in an industry as brutally competitive as South Korea's. She got a genuine breakout moment with the 2023 crime thriller web series The Worst of Evil, and honestly it was overdue: she holds the screen with a grounded, controlled intensity that a lot of flashier performers can't touch. I keep thinking she's the type who elevates the material around her without making it obvious she's doing the heavy lifting. Definitely an actress worth tracking.
