My Take
What gets me about Marc Platt is the sheer range. Most producers find a lane and stay in it, but he's racked up Tony Awards on Broadway, Emmys on television, and Oscar nominations on film, with credits like Wicked, La La Land, Bridge of Spies, and The Trial of the Chicago 7. I also love that he trained as a lawyer at the University of Pennsylvania before pivoting into entertainment. That blend of legal discipline and creative ambition probably explains how he juggles such different mediums. He's the kind of name that quietly sits behind decades of work people actually remember, which I respect more than chasing the spotlight.
