My Take

Method Man, to me, is the sound of hip-hop at its most charismatic. As a cornerstone of the Wu-Tang Clan and half of an iconic duo with Redman, he carried a voice and presence that simply demanded attention, and Tical hitting number four on the Billboard 200 proved he could thrive solo too. What I find most impressive is his crossover: he is one of the rare rappers who became a genuinely credible actor, holding the screen on his own terms. That Pisces warmth fuels the loyalty he shows his Wu brethren. Decades on, his cool feels timeless rather than dated.
