My Take
Misty Dawn, born Lori Holmes in Albuquerque, is remembered mostly as the wife of John Holmes, but I find the more interesting chapter to be what came after. Following his death, she published his autobiography and appeared in films about his life, becoming a kind of keeper of his memory rather than just a footnote to it. Beneath the glare of the adult industry there is a person who chose to preserve someone's full story, complications and all. I respect that quiet stewardship. It hints at a steadier, more deliberate character than her public persona ever suggested.
