Coco Hayashi

I have a soft spot for performers who can do both faces and voices, and Coco Hayashi is exactly that breed. Born in 2002 out in Hamamatsu, Shizuoka, she snagged a Seiyu Award for Best New Actress back in 2019, which is no small thing when you're barely out of your teens and surrounded by veterans. What gets me is the dual-track thing: acting where your face carries the scene, and voice work where everything rides on a single line read. Those are genuinely different muscles, and pulling off both means she's got range most people never develop. I won't pretend to know her offscreen, but the trajectory reads like someone quietly building a real toolkit rather than chasing a quick spotlight. Honestly, she feels like one of those young talents you keep an eye on, betting she only gets sharper from here.
