My Take
Mr. Fuji is one of my favorite kinds of wrestling figures: a Hawaiian-born performer who built an entire career out of playing the cunning foreign villain, salt throw and all. What fascinates me is the layered identity at work, a Japanese-American leaning into a Japanese heel persona for American crowds, then reinventing himself as one of the sharpest managers the business ever saw with Yokozuna and Demolition. He understood that heat is a craft. Decades later, that commitment to villainy as artistry still feels rare, and his Hall of Fame induction reads to me as fully earned recognition.
