Mr. Marcus

Mr. Marcus, born Jesse Spencer in Pomona, California, has one of the more unexpected career arcs I've come across. He started as a truck driver before entering adult film, eventually appearing in or directing well over 1,800 titles and earning a 2009 AVN Hall of Fame induction. It's a polarizing field, but sheer longevity at that volume demands a kind of professional discipline that's easy to overlook. Whatever one thinks of the genre, I'd rather acknowledge the work ethic behind the numbers. From the cab of a truck to a hall of fame, that's a genuinely dramatic journey.
