My Take
What strikes me most about MrBeast is that he treats generosity as a format. Plenty of creators chase virality; he built a machine where the bigger the giveaway, the bigger the audience, and the bigger the audience, the bigger the next giveaway. Team Trees and Team Seas proved the loop can serve genuinely good causes, not just stunts. I am also impressed by the businessman behind the grin, with burgers, snacks and a whole media operation before thirty. The machine has costs too: in 2024 five former Beast Games contestants filed a class action alleging sexual harassment and unsafe conditions on set. My honest read: he is less a YouTuber than a new kind of broadcaster, one who figured out that optimism, scaled relentlessly, is the most watchable thing on the internet.
