My Take
Myles Kennedy strikes me as the rare rock vocalist whose reputation rests entirely on craft rather than spectacle. Anyone Slash repeatedly chooses as his frontman clearly has something special, and Kennedy delivers it twice over, fronting Alter Bridge while leading the Conspirators without losing his identity in either band. What I admire most is his range: a soaring upper register that never feels showy, paired with genuine skill as a guitarist and songwriter. In an era when rock stardom often means nostalgia acts, Kennedy keeps producing vital new work. For my money, he is one of the most complete rock musicians of his generation, and still underrated.
