Neomi Rao

Neomi Rao fascinates me as a study in legal craftsmanship at the highest level. A Yale-trained jurist now sitting on the D.C. Circuit, she reached the front line of American law after running a regulatory agency, blending the academic and the administrative in a way few manage. Her rulings will inevitably divide people along political lines, but I prefer to set ideology aside and respect the sheer rigor of how she constructs an argument. Whatever one thinks of her conclusions, the discipline of building law from first principles is a skill I quietly hold in high regard.
