Nicole Anderson

I respect Nicole Gale Anderson for climbing steadily out of the Disney pipeline on merit. From Rochester, Indiana, she earned recognition as Macy Misa on Jonas, then proved she could carry grounded, adult roles on Make It or Break It, Ravenswood and Beauty & the Beast. Surviving the jump from child star to lasting actress is a brutally narrow door, and she walked through it. She juggled acting, modeling and singing without slipping into jack-of-all-trades mediocrity, then stepped away from acting in 2018 to become a floral designer. That mix of glamour and quiet grind is exactly the kind of career I find myself rooting for.
