Nikolas Cruz

I find it impossible to write about Nikolas Cruz with anything resembling admiration. He is remembered solely as the perpetrator of the 2018 Parkland shooting, one of the deadliest school attacks in American history, which killed seventeen people and wounded many more. My take here is simply that his name should serve as a sober reminder of preventable tragedy, not as a subject of fascination. My genuine interest lies with the victims, the survivors, and the families whose lives were shattered. If anything endures from this entry, I hope it is reflection and resolve, not notoriety.
