My Take
Vivian Jenna Wilson interests me less for who her father is and more for the courage it took to step out of his shadow. Born in 2004, she came out as a transgender woman, legally changed her name, and distanced herself from one of the most scrutinized surnames on earth. Doing that under a global spotlight, at such a young age, is no small act of self-determination. Her Teen Vogue cover read to me as more than a modeling credit; her very existence has become a form of advocacy. I'm rooting for her to be known as a person in her own right.
