My Take
Omi Vaidya fascinates me because he is a Californian who became a household name in Hindi cinema through 3 Idiots, delivering comedy in a language not his own. That demands fearlessness and serious craft, and his Tisch School training shows. What I respect most is his refusal to stay in one lane: actor, director, writer, presenter, editor, producer. Cameos on The Office and Arrested Development prove his range across cultures. He embodies a kind of border-crossing creativity that I find genuinely admirable, and I suspect his behind-the-camera work is where he will leave the deeper mark.
