My Take
Perry Farrell interests me less as a singer and more as an architect of moments. Coming out of Queens and Miami, he fused punk, metal and psychedelia in Jane's Addiction, but his real genius was reimagining how music gets experienced communally. He treats the stage like a ritual space, and that instinct reshaped a whole generation's idea of what a live event could be.
