Riko Kawahata

Honestly, the moment I hear someone's a pro wrestler, my respect level just shoots up automatically — and Riko Kawahata is no exception. Born in 1999, which makes her part of this fearless younger generation that came up watching legends and then just decided to go out and throw their own body around a ring for a living. That takes a specific kind of crazy-brave that I genuinely admire. She got into wrestling through a stage play about the sport, fought through a broken ankle and other injuries after her 2018 debut, and ended up a tag team champion with Maria; she lets the work speak, and in pro wrestling, the work is loud. Anyone still standing in that world has put in serious time, serious pain, and serious dedication. That counts for a lot.
