Rob Minkoff may not be a household name, but co-directing The Lion King secures him a permanent seat at animation's high table. What fascinates me is his range. Trained at CalArts and raised on hand-drawn craft, he moved fluidly into live action with Stuart Little, The Haunted Mansion and The Forbidden Kingdom before circling back to feature animation.
