What I respect most about Robb Flynn is his refusal to chase trends. As the only constant member across every Machine Head record, he has carried an entire band's identity on his shoulders for decades, and that kind of stubborn loyalty fascinates me. Coming out of the Bay Area thrash scene, he built something heavier and more personal. I see him less as a frontman and more as a craftsman who keeps swinging that low-tuned hammer long after others would have quit. To me, that endurance is the real measure of an artist worth following.
