Robert Capron

Robert Capron interests me because he handled child stardom the smart way. After charming audiences as Rowley in the Diary of a Wimpy Kid films, plenty of kid actors fade out, but Capron went to Brown University and broadened into voice work, stage, directing and producing. I admire performers who treat early fame as a foundation rather than a peak. There's a genuine warmth to his screen presence that's hard to fake, and his move toward behind-the-camera work suggests real curiosity about the craft. I suspect his most interesting chapter is still ahead of him.
