Saaya Asakura

Saaya Asakura is one of those quietly impressive people who started out supporting circuit events in 2021 and signed with e-Smile in 2022. Born in Takaoka, Toyama in 1998 — not Tokyo, not Osaka, but a mid-sized city on the Sea of Japan coast — and she made it work in gravure and race queen circuits anyway, which takes real grit. Race queen work especially gets underestimated: you're standing for hours in brutal summer heat at a racetrack, looking sharp, staying warm to fans, managing the chaos of a motorsports event, and making it all look effortless. Pair that with gravure and you're juggling two demanding lanes at once. Takaoka kids tend to be built that way. Low profile, consistent, unbothered.
