Sabrina Salerno

To me, Sabrina Salerno is more than a footnote of 1980s Euro-pop nostalgia. What I admire is the sheer breadth of what she pulled off: singing, modeling, acting, and eventually composing and producing her own material. Ten international hits including three number ones is no fluke, it is staying power. Plenty of artists from that glittery era vanished, but she kept reinventing herself and stayed visible across decades. There is something I respect about a performer who refuses to be defined by one chart-topping moment and instead builds her own creative house, brick by brick, on her own terms.
