My Take
What I admire most about Sarah Koenig is that she made careful, ethical curiosity feel thrilling. With Serial she proved that millions of people will lean in not for spectacle but for honest uncertainty, for a narrator willing to say she doesn't know. Her years on This American Life clearly shaped that restraint: she reports rather than performs, letting the texture of real lives carry the story. I find her the rare journalist whose voice is both intimate and rigorous, and I think she permanently raised the bar for what audio storytelling can be.
