My Take
Sean Waltman is one of those wrestlers who punched so far above his weight class — literally and figuratively — that it still blows my mind. He came up out of Minneapolis as this scrappy kid who looked like he had no business being in a WWF ring, and then he went and had one of the most memorable upsets in the company's history as the 1-2-3 Kid. The fact that he reinvented himself so convincingly as X-Pac in D-Generation X, and then again as Syxx in the nWo in WCW, shows just how adaptable and genuinely talented he was. He could work with anyone and make it look good. The WWE Hall of Fame induction was long overdue, and his podcast work since retiring shows he still has real passion for the business. Underrated legend, full stop.
