Seiji Uebayashi

I've always had a soft spot for an outfielder who makes defense look like a highlight reel, and Seiji Uebayashi is exactly that guy. Standing 185cm with a cannon for an arm and real wheels, he's the kind of Saitama-born player who turns a routine fly ball into a moment where you sit up and go "ooh." I remember the buzz when he broke out with the SoftBank Hawks, all that raw upside and momentum. Baseball doesn't let you fake it, though, so he's ridden the highs and the rough patches honestly, the way most genuinely talented players do. To me he just looks most himself out there chasing balls in the gaps, so I'm quietly rooting for that big arm to keep showing off for a good while yet.
