Seiya Yokoyama

Honestly, there's something quietly exciting about Seiya Yokoyama — a first-round pick whose story feels like it has only just started. Born in late 2005 in Ueda, Nagano, he came up through Ueda Nishi High School, which isn't exactly a factory churning out household names, and that underdog energy is part of what makes him interesting to track. He hit 30 home runs in high school, went first round to Orix in the 2023 draft, and got his first taste of the top team in 2024. Young infielders who get that early chance are usually the ones worth remembering later. Keep an eye on this one.
